Keeping the dream alive...
Ever tempting, Las Vegas sits in the middle of a desert in a state known for having one of the seven wonders in the world craved into its dry skin (its the Grand Cayon in case you didn't know already). Little more than a dusty gambling outpost for decades, Vegas is much more now. The city has evolved from its origins as a mob favorite to a grown-up disney land with assorted vices attached to its current incarnation as sin city. Have you seen the recent slew of TV advertisements aimed at attracking young life to Las Vegas? "What happens in Vegas, Stays in Vegas"? You must have, and if you did not then its likely you dont watch more TV or more likely not much MTV.
The city may sit in the desert, but it definately stands on the wallets of so many 20 and 30 somethings who treck by the Southwest super saver load to the mecca for all things shiny. I admit that on occasion or two I have been part of Southwest boarding group 3 of 4 to do my part to support the local economy of America's fastest growing city. Alchohol companies and giant mega casinos depend on individuals like me to keep them out of rags and cardboard boxes. After all we dont want anyone downsizing from a Bently to a mere S600 Mercedes Benz. So I do my part and make the pilgrimage a few times a year ...
