Podcasting - revolution in the making?

Search Google or Yahoo! or any search engine for Podcasting and you will learn about a whole new world of audio enjoyment. Podcasting is the generic term for allowing digital audio players like iPods and MuVos to listen to radio broadcasts on the devices. Some MP3 players have built in FM turners, but often could not record the shows. Podcasting allows the user to setup which broadcasts to record and then use their computer to transfer the broadcast to their MP3 player. So instead of having to tune in to NPR at 6p.m. on Saturday to catch "A Prairie Home Companion" you can just set your iPod to grab the broadcast and listen to it later. You can also fast forward and rewind or skip sections of the broadcast. Sort of like a TiVo / PVR for radio.

I have tried this with my iPod and am in love with the technology. Now if they can only find a way to get the Podcasts onto my iPod without having to connect to my computer. If it had Wi-Fi I would love to have it sync my podcasts as soon as I walked into the room or pushed a button or something, but Apple is not in any rush to put WiFi into iPods (nor is there probably much demand for it, but I can dream).
