Need More Memory for Your Phone?

Save your life: megamemory mobiles
As cell phones morph into more than just phones, new features such as megapixel cameras, video players, and MP3 players are becoming available. But as fun as those add-ins may be, they're useful only if you have a place to store all your files. After all, what good is an MP3 player or a camera phone if you have no room to save your work? Yet there are handsets with enough room to save more than just the occasional ring tone. For example, the multimedia-equipped Audiovox CDM-8940 for Verizon has 64MB of integrated memory and comes with a 256MB Mini SD card in the box. Cingular's Motorola MPx220, a Windows Mobile device, also has a Mini SD slot in addition to 64MB of storage space, while the Samsung SGH-P735 for T-Mobile sports 64MB of RAM and an included 32MB MMC card. For the fashion-forward, the Nokia 7280 sports a radical design and a generous 50MB. But the winner is probably the Sony Ericsson P910a. Though its integrated memory amounts to only 22MB, its Memory Stick Duo slot can accommodate cards up to 1GB in size (a 32MB card comes with the phone). Saving your life takes on a whole new meaning.
